PREFACE
This page is an example of how one can take the original description of the spiritual Principle addressed by the specified Bach Flower Remedy noted in the reference, at the bottom of this page, and reframe it into a learning tool to assist you to build a new coping skill --- a constructive attitude and behavior pattern.

The description in the book is BEST for a person who has the energy block or is going through a session to release that block. The description by Scheffer is largely of what a destructive attitude and pattern of the spiritual Principle would be like if one had this particular type of energy block. That description enables awareness to increase and allows the Reptilian Structure to more inclusively bring together the components of the block concerned, when indicated, so that it can be released.

AFTER the energy block is gone, one May still find it helpful to counter the still present IMPRINTING that has also been imposed on the Identity by the person's environment. This is NOT always the case. Only about 37% of my clients would benefit from this. Only 11% (usually the more intense) need this benefit to make their improvement assured and hopeful against an environment that encourages the negative Principle.

HORNBEAM relates to the soul qualities of Inner Vitality and Freshness of Mind.

A person who enjoys a life of activity and takes pleasure from their work, expressing their motivations and devotions, yet, allowing for and integrating participation in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual involvements and activities is the image of a Positive Hornbeam state. This is state is most noticed in its negative by those who most often have it. Others around them while they are in the positive style of life tend to see them as vigorous, dynamic persons who hold a light air.

Persons who have a strong Ego (Personal vales), strong SuperEgo (Social standards), passionate Basic Personality, or, are intense or compulsive by energy block or imprinting influence are most prone to developing a negative Hornbeam state. Having focused too long and too intensely on one of the physical or mental areas of their lifestyle, the emotional and spiritual, as well as one of the others -- have been distanced. This has not allowed for their appreciation and enjoyment and one's lifesystem increasingly experiences these losses until a threshold is passed and inner grief and physical depression arrive.

Persons who are sensitive and have highly influential Missions, either in development or in operation, should be equally prepared and expectant of the development of this state within themselves. One may be Spiritually Guided to devote considerable resources in the shorter term to one's Mission in relation to tight timing which will impact the degree of positive influence which their Mission can have. These efforts may be further extended by delays and frustrations which arise for and from the limitations of both oneself and others as well as a failing to ask for and to follow Spiritual Guidance by oneself and/or others.

As an example of the Grace which God affords us, neither the human species nor us as individuals are condemned for any failure -- as long as we earn forgiveness by sincerely acknowledging our errors and commit to future improvement. Entering a negative Hornbeam state is a warning that we have reached our limit of focus, persistence, and selflessness, or, selfishness. It may be an indication of excessive selflessness (SuperEgo) where we have denied our own needs long enough such that some of our Identity perspectives have sacrificed to the point of grieving their lost experience of pleasure. It could also be an indication that we have taken such personal (Ego) pleasure in the achievements and successes we have made towards our goals that we begin to be lax in pacing ourselves with the benefit Spiritual Guidance. Tiredness of any form of activity endangers our continuing spontaneity and persistence in asking for Spiritual Guidance.

Coping with a negative Hornbeam state may be a short term necessity in order to reach a turning point or completion point in the timely demands of our Mission. This is a potentially dangerous continuance for our health balance and our spiritual strength and should be repeatedly and carefully confirmed as necessary by Spiritual Guidance. If that confirmation is obtained, here are a few enlivening tactics:

    • acknowledge the short-term necessity of the state;
    • acknowledge the needs of your Identity factors;
    • entertain moments of images of reactivated pleasures;
    • acknowledge that you are responsible only for your part of and not for the whole of your Mission.

It is the responsibility of the others who will share the benefits of your efforts to at some point become involved and participate, if only as a prosumer, or, determine by their choice or apathy that they are not yet ready for those benefits. It is NEVER a spiritual positive for us to impose solutions or benefits on others regardless of the obviousness of the benefits that can be gained. God provides direction as to what would be best within a particular timeframe. We have been given the personal and collective choice to receive, deny, or reject those Graces. The focus of the individual who chooses to ask for Spiritual Guidance and chooses to follow that Guidance is best directed at utilizing one's capabilities and resources as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Exchanging a negative Hornbeam state for a Positive one is relatively simple in action yet may require some planning and the patience to materialize those plans. Here are a few possibilities:

    • A restaurant outing;
    • Theater or sporting events;
    • Outdoors strolls and hikes;
    • Moving to a new location;
    • A one day vacation.

When the Hornbeam Remedy is indicated as needed by muscle testing or Spiritual Guidance, it can be seen as an indictor that positive changes are ahead. If one has failed to maintain close and accurate awareness of one's needs or of Spiritual Guidance, they can now be re-established and vitality will return. If an extended severely focused involvement IS necessary, one can be confident that it will not be lengthy for God NEVER asks of us more than we are capable of, although in the short term we sometimes doubt that capability. The task at hand will be completed, its benefit will be lost through delays, or, we will be Spiritually Guided to delay its continuance for a period of time until we are refreshed and/or the timing or support from others is reinstituted.

With Spiritual Guidance, our efforts will not be wasted.
They will be optimized for our capabilities, the necessities being addressed, our resources, and the readiness of those who could share in the benefits.

GUIDELINE
If you wish to create your own reframed version of a Bach Remedy spiritual PRINCIPLE description to use for your chosen positive imprinting through repetitive exposure, consider the following.

Negative expressions of spiritual states are extremes, not good or bad according to some authoritarian personal election. The positive expression is seldom the opposite of the negative extreme. Look for the difference in context and the improvement in relevancy as an indicator of good choices of words.

Personalize your description with words like "I", "She", "My", and others.
