Dan Nelson has been interested in optimizing health and human performance for many years. He was a high school and collegiate wrestler and competed in Olympic weight lifting in his teens. During his late 20's he was a competitive power lifter and winner of the Mr. Montana and Mr Big Sky body building titles in 1980.

His extreme interest in athletic performance led him to investigative studies on extending human performance capabilities on and off the field and competition. Dan was educated at Montana State University in Bozeman Montana. He taught astrophysics at Carroll College in Helena Montana during the late 70's and coordinated ABC's televisions live coverage of the 1979 total solar eclipse from Helena. He has also given many hours of work to astronomy education for young people and he is a past President of the Astronomical Institute of the Rockies.

Virtual State Research where he works in theoretical physics on advanced laser technology. He became involved in applied kinesiology in 1982 after visiting a Doctor for residual nerve damage problems. This stimulated his interest in alternative medicine and he subsequently began to research different applications due to his research findings during study of the quantum mechanics of the human energy field.

After the first generation of his virtual laser became operational, he began searching for applications of the quantum mechanical properties of the laser's energy that could slow down or reverse entropy, thereby slowing or reversing the aging process. During this work, he discovered that the laser had the ability to engineer the molecular structure of water, allowing for superior hydration of the human body by putting water in an extremely high quantum state (spin state).
