PROGNOS® Space technology traces origins of symptoms.

PROGNOS® ... determines which meridians were disturbed and how this disturbance may be neutralised. It is in fact a unique combination of 5000 years old Chinese wisdom based on the flow of energy through the meridians and Western logic, where people are eager to find facts by measuring, using modern computer technology and microchips. Regular health care in developed countries has reached high standards and shows good results. There is a drawback however: often symptoms get treated and little attention is paid to prevention and the causes of complaints. PROGNOS® and the knowledge of meridians and acupuncture may offer good services here. Besides tracing a cause - which offers the possibility to apply specific remedies - we can determine beforehand whether a remedy will show the desired effect on a particular patient.

Beforehand the reactions of all organs and systems can be determined.
People often think they are discussing a cause whereas they are in fact referring to a result. A diagnosis is usually a description of what we see, but this does not relate to the cause. The logic of acupuncture by the Chinese is based on the flow of energy through meridians. There are 72 meridians, of which 12 main meridians, present on the left and on the right, form the basis. If disturbances are absent, the energy flows undisturbed through these 24 meridians, a person is healthy. If a stasis occurs in one of these energy streams, complaints will follow in the long run.

Relating meridians.

A disturbance of the small or large intestines meridian may lead to complaints of the skin, allergies, problems with mucus, cavities, pulmonary symptoms, tonsils, adrenal glands, liver and pancreas. A stasis in the energy stream of a meridian affects all elements of its related areas. Which symptoms will appear strongly or which area will be affected worst is dependent on personal circumstances.

Any meridian may show an excess or a deficiency, deeply affecting this particular meridian.
This is clearly shown in relation to occurring corresponding emotions (table 3). The main emotion of the bile meridian is bitterness, an excess causing feelings of guilt, whereas a deficiency stimulates anger. The positive quality of bile energy is thoughtfulness. Each meridian corresponds to one of the 13 chakras as they represent themselves in the Aquarius era. The obstructed energy of a meridian might point at a disturbance of the corresponding chakra.

Causes of disturbances.
If we know which meridians are disturbed the next step should be finding out what caused the disturbance. It is possible to distinguish the origin of disturbances by adding specific signals corresponding to known causes of symptoms and consequently checking the reactions of meridians to the signals given. Accordingly we read from the curves which organs and systems experience most interference. Common causes of these interferences are viruses, bacteria, fungus, parasites, toxic stress, psyche, teeth, geopathology / electrosmog, miasma, scars, interference in brain kernels (nuclei) and in chakras. Cause and result are sometimes strongly connected.

For example: a lack of vitamins / minerals or a disturbed hormone balance is often a cause, but may act as a main trigger as well. An allergy can be the result of a intestines dysbiosis triggered by a parasitic stress, which was in its turn caused by a weakened immunity system after a lung meridian disturbance after a period of sorrow one was unable to deal with. Uncoped or not integrated emotions and viruses are causes of disturbances that should not be underestimated.

Enduring emotions may bring changes in brain kernels and may be reciprocated by using certain medicines. As long as these changes exist they will influence our behaviour and our health.

Viruses can be chained to DNA / RNA as so called single segments, small fragments interfering continuously. This is exactly an item ignored by the regular circles, while it is of utmost importance to gain a structural improvement. However, in alternative circles merely controlling symptoms is practiced too, keeping the deepest cause hidden. As stated before: causes and results often get intermingled as it is hardly possible to make a clear distinction.

Viruses as causes of disturbances.
Using PROGNOS® we can show virus activity and determine how to eliminate this. Since viruses play a role in many symptoms and hardly ever action follows this is of great importance. Measuring with PROGNOS® in the praxis.

On the starting and final spots of the meridians the state of energy gets determined. The measuring process is regulated by 4 microchips. Within 18 milliseconds on each spot 400 measurements are taken. The computer will register and interpret these data, which will emerge on the screen as curves. Measuring noise gets filtered out and the computer will calculate the meridian values. Measurements will run from 20 K-Ohm until 60.000 K-Ohm, making it possible to measure seriously ill patients as well.

Measuring time is dependent on the level of resistance.
A resistance of 1000 K-Ohm requires a measuring time of 18 mseconds. At a level of 20.000 K-Ohm the measuring time will be 150 mseconds. The current stress to the skin is 455 billionth Watt second. In this way the cells remain uninfluenced during the measuring process, which is quite different from other systems. The systems shows an aberration of 0,25% (absolute reproducibility, see Prof. F. Popp Erfahrungsheilkunde / January 2002).

In contradiction to most other systems the acupuncture point does not undergo any mechanical nor electronic pressure. The measuring shaft has been given bearings with a spring, causing a constant measuring pressure of 20 grams and offering a complete reproducibility. The modest measuring current of only 0,4 micro amperes guarantees a minimal mechanical pressure and optimum reliability and thus reproducibility. In the vicinity of the apparatus no electrosmog can be found by the use of a 1.5 volts battery. These factors make the measuring process objective and reproducible.

Diagrams and interpretation.
All measured values are processed by the computer and shown as diagrams, using mathematical algorithmic. The software of PROGNOS® is based on 12 billions of measuring series, defining the specific values for sex and age of the patients. The information on the screen clearly shows which meridians meet the values concerned and which show too high or too little energy.

Usually the first thing done is a general measuring.
This series of measuring the 12 main meridians will take 1 minute approximately. This general measurement provides an insight in the patient's state in a compensated condition. By this we mean the plight of someone entering the praxis, when the body has compensated as much of the disturbances as it possibly can.

A second measuring is done after a stimulation of Tm20, using a piezo-electrical pen or a bio-comb, an action which will provoke the compensation to diminish since we temporarily add much energy. Comparing the general and the second measuring will show where the energy stream is obstructed and where we in fact may find the largest blockades.

Prevention and Prognos.
In the near future it will be possible to perform measuring at home, using a computer home test set and by logging into the measuring system via the Internet. This may prove to be very important from a preventative point of view, since early disturbances are properly observed. The energy stream through meridians get measurably disturbed long before symptoms become apparent. The measuring results may be discussed in a registered praxis.

PROGNOS® is very helpful indeed when determining causes of complaints and the choice of an effective therapy. In the future the patient may experience the preventative effects of the system through measuring at home. PROGNOS® is the first system to intertwine regular and alternative medicines and to bridge the gap between Oriental energetic logic and Western medical science keen on gaining knowledge by measuring. It is a unique combination of Oriental wisdom and Western technology. The measuring system provides a useful contribution to commonly and world-wide accepted therapies and may serve as an independent system or as a complementary unit providing suggestions for the direction of a therapy.

Through the preventative effects it may teach people to take responsibility for their own complaints. By early observation of disturbances proper preventative measurements may be taken. Measuring the effects of chosen remedies beforehand may prevent unnecessary swallowing. Furthermore all this may cut costs in health care organisations. Co-operation and prevention are the future. This is a hard case of human interest and PROGNOS® may prove to be of great value here.

Measuring meridians allows us to distinguish causes from effects. In the future this must lead to fewer battles with symptoms and more often treating causes. Furthermore this may lead to Departments of Prevention in all hospitals, in itself preventing many problems and unnecessary surgery.
