Alliance gets regulator's green light.

The $4-billion Alliance Pipeline Ltd. project received the green light from Canadian regulators yesterday, but could still face a delay if environmentalists get their day in court.
Land-clearing for the 3,000-kilometer gas pipeline to the Chicago area from northeastern British Columbia is scheduled to begin in mid-January.
