PRINTING & VIEWING OPTIONS.
Make it look the way you like it.

You have a choice of viewing the Seminar notes in either an Internet browser or in their original WordPerfect 7.0 format. None of the files are locked so you may make global and specific changes to the format. Be aware that unless you have kept copies of the original file, you may not be able to undo changes which you later decide were not wise. Also be aware that if you have received a copy from someone other than an authorized distributor, the file content may have been tampered with in a deceptive manner which could defeat the original constructive growth capability of the information.

IN NETSCAPE, or some other browser, you can select FONTS for application to most of what is shown on your display through the browser. A common way to find this menu is to select the EDIT menu, then the PREFERENCES submenu, then the FONTS selection link. Experiment, if you want a typestyle that is more comfortable and/or enjoyable for you to read. You can also increase or decrease the comparative lettering size which may be adjusted by your monitor size and resolution.

The DEFAULT FONT SIZE on which the documents were designed is as follows:

          Encoding Western
Variable Width Times New Roman 12 pt
Fixed Width Font Courier New 12 pt

For OPTIMUM PRINTING OUTPUT, the above defaults were chosen. They work almost automatically with any display of 640 x 480 resolution. Higher resolution displays may display the same font sizes larger than this normal. This will result in wrapping of lines in such a way as to change the format on the display, but not on the printout. To restore the formatting, you may decide to change your browser font settings to 10 point and select the option: "Use my default fonts, overriding document specified fonts." This is particularly true of 15 inch displays set to higher resolutions where the combination of not enough display for the text resolution results in the text appearing too small, and, the text point size displayed is often increased for better reading.

BEFORE PRINTING a complete file, use your PRINT dialog box to choose to print from Page 1 to Page 1. This will print only the first page. The first page will note as to how many pages YOUR printer will print for the file using the PREFERENCES set in YOUR browser or the selections made in Your publishing software. The darkness of the lettering will also be a factor of which printer you are using, and its settings. If you would like these settings modified for a better quality printout, you now have a choice before printing the complete file. If you are unsure as to how to make these changes, request assistance from a more experienced friend, associate, or professional.

COLOR, Black and White, or GREYSCALE, are also options you may have a choice of for each section and according to the capabilities of your printer, your personal inclination, and your budget.

PRINTING CONSIDERATIONS

The typestyle applied to the file information before it is printed will be that specified in the preferences of the browser you are using. Sometimes, a comfortable-to-view font size on the display may print out too large on your printer. If this occurs, make a note of those files you wish to print, change the PREFERENCES, FONTS, print out the documents, then change the PREFERENCES, FONTS back to your preferred viewing specifications.

If you are viewing and printing the pages from a version of WordPerfect 7.0 or later, and you wish the typestyle to be different, and/or font size to be larger, you can do a global application of your choices to the document and then print it. If you do not save the document, and your version does not automatically save it after a period of time you have specified in its BACKUP PREFERENCES, the original will remain intact. If the file is changed and you want the original back, you will have lost that option unless you have made a backup, or saved your personalized version in a separate directory, or, under a different name.

SAVE PAPER by printing only the first page of many seminar files.
Depending on the settings of your browser and printer, the content of many of the files is contained on the first page with the navigational links for Internet browser use ending up on the second page.

PAGE NUMBER AND LAYOUT of the printout will also vary somewhat from printer to printer, in addition to the above considerations, because some printers add their own top, bottom, and side margins independent of the document. Sometimes you can modify these yourself. Consult your printer manual.

CHOICES have been made from the production end to afford you with the greatest flexibility for personalization of YOUR package so that you can gain the greatest benefit from it. This lack of forced standardization means that the quoting of page numbers must be forgone in favor of noting the file number and paragraph when directing someone's attention to a specific mention.

CAUTION, BEWARE, DANGER, LISTEN UP!

You have been left with the freedom and option to customize for your personal use any of the files for your viewing and printing pleasure. If you change the content or any of the original display and print properties without making a backup of the original, the distributor of the Balancing Self-Development Packages will NOT provide you with a replacement copy without payment for the module and the handling and shipping charges applicable. Save money and use with care.
